Thursday Roses

As you can see this is my MIL card, I used the fabulous sketch on Stamp with Fun which is designed by the very talented Bev. The papers are BG Porcelain and the stamp is Alota, I've layered the image in the more traditional decoupage way instead of the cheats way I usually do. Thats one thing off my list.

Technology is still giving me hassle but I received a fab parcel from the Tina DT Stamp with Fun with my prize.

Not only the gorgeous LillyKate BG one of my faves papers, but a whole lot of hAnglar images, oooh can't wait till colour them up.

Update on Mum, she's now in a ward, she hasn't had a seizure in the last 24 hrs so the drugs are working and she's moaning the beds are hard, so she is getting better but very tired.
It seems I'm not alone with Internet Exploring problems, at the moment I've buried my head in the sand and hoping it will sort itself out.

Whoops It's Wednesday

It was only by blogging did I realise its actually Wednesday, I thought it was Thursday so somehow I've lost a day. And its a new challenge on Simon Says Challenge this time a recipe, two papers, 3 buttons and a ribbon. I've used a Penny Black stamp that you can buy from Simon Says Stamps, Heidi has loads of PB stamps. The papers are Chatterbox. I would have posted this earlier once I discovered it was Wednesday but now the PC is giving me a headache, something is conflicting the Internet Explorer and freezing.

Back tomorrow PC permitting.

Blue and Green

So while posting my Penny Black card yesterday, I got a call from my Sis, Mum had a seizure, Dad had called Ambulance. She had another in ambulance and another in A&E and was very poorly. Sis told me she would be with me in five minutes to take me up to the Hospital, at this point I wasn't dressed. Although very tired, Mum is OK but she has another seizure in the ward and they've given her some drugs to block them but they're concerned whats causing them, so it looks like she maybe in hospital for a few days yet.

Unfortunately when I did come home I had a really bad headache and nothing would shift it, but I did feel a bit better in the evening and I made quick card using some scraps of October Afternoon which just happen to be blue and green which works for the Spoonful of Sugar challenge.

Oh pooh I meant to put glitter on her wings.

Penny Black Makeover

The challenge on Penny Black Saturday is for Anything goes, well this little lady has been waiting to be used. It was while colouring it in we were talking about Britain got talent and I definitely feel there's a look of Susan Boyles, the round face and the unruly hair, although I do feel her makeover is a bit dated. Moving quickly on the papers are Bloom and Grow, various blooms and Quickutz swirls.

I'm trying to catch up with my Scrapbooking, I've been making layouts and although MJ has nearly every Sizzix alphabet there is, I love making titles with my Cricut so I've been collecting layouts that aren't quite finished so I've given myself a deadline. Also its MIL Birthday next week and she needs a card, I've choosen my stamp but it will take time to colour and build the image before I even start putting onto a card. I've joined a new CJ too, the book is made, just need to sort out my entry.

Monday Morning Magnolia

I made this card while over at my Sis but I really did miss my nestabilities so this card didn't work like I thought it would but the good thing it was made from the last scraps of this paper. What would I do without my funky flower punch and the leaf punch just gives it a nice finished look. This card colours work for the challenge on Just Magnolia.

I've be lucky to received some fabby cards through the post this one is from Stacey and its using the bloom and grow download from Sweet Shoppe and the a High Hopes stamp. This is the card that encouraged me to buy the download.

I also won the challenge on Everybody Art Challenge and received my prize which are these cute birdies and Domi sent this fab card too.
Look what Heidi on Simon Says Stamps is offering as candy if you comment on my cupcake post.

Sunday Treats

Remember the fluffy stuff I was experimenting with during the week, now you can see what I used it for. Its Woodware fluffy stuff and you just heat it up, before you do you can add stuff like glitter which the camera won't photo, I did think to use some accent beads but they weren't the right colours. The cupcake and sentiment stamps are both from Simon Says Stamps using the Savor the Moment pack.

I also used the same stamp set for these yummy cupcakes, I love that BG papers they look like sprinkles, I also used glossy accent for the icing, again the camera doesn't let me photo it but you can just see a crack on the last cake.

I've been wanting to make one of these shape cards ever since I saw Nikki's tutorial, again the tiny cupcakes are from the Savor the Moment stamps but the cake stand I made with nestabilities square and cut of a strip and a heart punch.

There's also candles on this stamp set, originally I put them on a background of patterned paper but they got lost, so I've settled on clean and simple.

My favourite papers Bo Bunny and this was the very last card made with my scraps and what better than a yummy cupcake.

So how's everyone doing with the Recycling challenge on Simon Says Challenge, there are some amazing creations and I will never think of corrugated cardboard in the same light. The annoying thing is when I was doing DT entry I couldn't find anything now I'm finding something every day, oh well sods law.

Sweet Sugar Saturday

You didn't think I would forget what day it is today, its the 25th again so today's card just had to be a Christmas one. This time I used Friday sketchers sketch from Murielle, papers are a download from Sweet Shoppe designs by Zoe Pearn and add some various snowflakes from various dies, all that was need was the sweet Sugar Nellies stamp. Bit disappointed with the colours of the image but the sun is shining through and sucking out the colour but I'm not complaining well not yet.
I've uploaded the mini book I made for my SIL on my other blog here. These are the inserts that go in the pockets.

Not sure how much blogging is going to get done at my Sis her PC is so slow, she allowed IE8 to be downloaded and there seems to be a conflict somewhere.

Far Away Friday

I coloured my image to match some papers and then never used them for this card using the fab sketch from A Spoonful of Sugar. Then there was the problem of the brads, used one for the flower and decided it needed a couple more and then a couple more and had to force myself to stop, the sentiment is Woodware. Afraid I don't know who made the stamp its one of my Sis that I stamped at her house which reminds me that this weekend I'm back staying, the boys working late. So I may have to stamp some more of this little darling.

Its also MJ crop from Every Moment Matters so a bit of spend on Saturday and lots of chatting too.

Papertake Pony

Dawn had done it again with a fabulous sketch on Papertake weekly although its quite a clean and simple design I couldn't resist a flower or may be two, in my case five! The papers are Daisy Bucket and pony is Magnolia. I wanted the pony to have a funky coloured mane but once I coloured the body I couldn't do it.
I have weeks where I don't go out and then all of sudden I get a week like this one and I'm out nearly everyday and today is no exception of to the hairdressers, the grey is starting to poke through again need to get it sorted urgently.

More blog candy this time from the Birthday girl herself, Debbie, do think with all these candies from Debbies it would only be right that another Debbie should win!

Wisteria Tuesday

This card didn't work out quite as I expected, the sketch is from Marlene for Stamp With Fun and I've used the Wisteria pad from BG. To start with I cut the scallop border too short obviously couldn't read the numbers on my trimmer even with glasses on so that is why there is strategically place bow. I forgot to ink round the image now you may think this is not important but it bothers me for some reason and when I cut out the pockets to layer. Well they were there one minute gone the next, I knew there was a reason for cleaning the floor but there was no way I was going to find itsy bitsy pockets in the mess. But on a happier note I won the challenge last week.
And have you seen this amazing blog candy its from Debbie's blog Passion for Crafts.

I've been lucky again with awards the first is from Sonia, the lemonade award is from Sam and the ladybird one is from Lynne. Thanks girls.

Swinging Tilda

There's a new Magnolia Challenge blog with an amazing DT, their first challenge is a sketch from Donalda. I had to turn the sketch so my Tilda would fit. The papers are Bo Bunny, flowers from Poppicrafts.

Did anyone have probs with blogger yesterday, one minute it was fine and then after I spoke to Sis on the phone and managed to get her internet working, Mr Blogger wouldn't work for me. It was fine later but it was too late then. Hope its OK today.

Penny Black Monday

I'm sorry but I'm addicted to Penny Black mice its only because I love how I can bring them to life, the other animals don't have the same effect. There's a great sketch over on Penny Black Saturday challenge by Nat, I've kept it quite simple because the SEI papers are quite busy and the sentiment is Hero Arts.

Yesterday I was going to play with some fluffy stuff from Woodware but when Hubby gave me the landing curtains and kept calling me to ask my advice, I decided to finish my CJ at least I knew what I was doing and could manage the interruptions. Fingers crossed I get to play with the fluffy stuff today.

Wonderful bloggers have been sending me fab awards again first is from Michelle and one below is from Karen.

Oh this imps do make me smile and this award is from Sue.

Just a Quickie

To answer the question about the downloads for Bloom & Grow you can buy them from here
Sweet Shoppe Designs, look for Zoe Pearn. I found out on where they were from Stacey's blog

edited hope the link works now.

Wisteria Tilda

Another reason I don't need to go to Ally Pally because I already have in my hands the new BG pads. The papers on this card is Wisteria and its going to be my fave its full of purple, greens and blues. For the sketch on Sketch Saturday, Tilda should have gone in the middle but I wanted her sitting on the edge like she was sitting under the Wisteria.

I actually have hubby home today and the weather is suppose to be nice too, so not sure how much I will be able to craft today.

New Home

Yes I've still got My Minds Eye, Bloom and Grow papers, I keep buying more, I believe you can download them I think I may has well, it would have probably worked out cheaper. The sketch is Friday Sketchers and the image is a Whipper Snapper stamp. I've tried stamping a border round the image which didn't really work that well but it does stop the white looking so stark.

Looks like we won't be going to Ally Pally, to be honest I don't really need anything although I'm sure I could find something. So I shall be saving my pennies for Newbury because I know my Taxi driver won't miss that one and I believe The Glitter Pot is doing a weekend of demo's soon too, so I'm pretty sure thats my addiction taken care of.

A Friday Cutie

Oh its great to be back its amazing how much we need electricity, my poor ipod is flat, so today its going to be a major catching up day. But before I disappear I leave you my card for the sketch on Everybody Art Challenge and I can also use it for the Cute Card Thursday whose challenge is for floral fantasy so I think my punched flowers work for that. The papers are Pebbles and cute mouse is Penny Black.

Had a fabulous evening at my BIL where we had a bit of "I'm not retiring because I'm now 65" party, the mood was also helped that my DD went for a interview for a job yesterday and by lunchtime they rang to say its hers.

Edwin Potter

I've had to schedule this post because at 9 am my electicity is going off until sometime this afternoon if I'm lucky and its amazing all the things I won't be able to do and thats including crafting in my craftroom. Its so dark in there dracula could live there with no problems with the rays of the sun. So I'm going to awful things like inserts in cards and bagging them up which I really hate doing.

Remember me saying that Edwin was the wrong size for Tilda and would use him on another card well here he is, same papers but I've use Sketch and Stash 8 but I've use the woodware sentiment stamp again. I don't think he's that happy about the touch of pink in his jumper.

Finally finished this layout, I started it at MJ crop and I really don't like starting something new till the ones I've started are finished, I seemed to be going back to clean and simple rather than lumpy bumpy.

Many thanks to Julie for this really cute award, I'll sort out who I'm sending it too when I can get back online.
and thanks to Kelly for this great award too.
