We Three

I think this started as the Papertake Weekly challenge sketch but the strip got moved so its not quite like it.
I'm still struggling with card making but I'm although this hasn't many details I'm still pleased how it turned out.
Probably ist the stitched cloud stamp which is from the Woodware Patchwork Balloon set just sets it off.
The papers are Doodlebug and the grass is a MFT die. Birthday sentiment is a tiny one from the Birthday Balloon set from Simon Says Stamps I was so pleased it fitted inside the cloud.
Of course my main image is a Penny Black stamp.
I got a lovely phone call yesterday from Blind Veterans UK thanking me once again for the Magnifier they were really pleased.

Lily Pad Fairy

I'm pretty certain my card started with a sketch but I can't remember where. At last I'm using one of the fairies I brought from the actual shop of LOTV when it was their Birthday. Lot of things to cut out but I think it was worth it. I've glossy accent her sunglasses and I had to colour her glass red for my favourite tipple but now I'm thinking she is far too young so we better call it raspberry juice!
The papers are Pebbles possibly called garden party with some added lace and ribbon. The flowers are CC Designs dies although I think the leaves are MFT from one of their flower sets. Little butterfly is a punch.
Off to swimming this morning and I need to catch up and make some DT cards.

Pals

This is what I've managed to turn out for the Sketch Saturday sketch for this week, although there is a few more stars and the ribbon has replaced one of the mats. Maybe the Memory Box branch with some punched flowers on wasn't on the sketch either but I think it turned out OK.
The papers are Doodlebug do love their papers always seemed to use most of them up, I think the current pack is my second pack of them.
I'm a bit behind on my cards this week and none will get done today. Later we are off to Brighton to St Dunstans where Dad had a weeks holiday and came back with a spring in his feet. He was registered Blind through having Macular Degeneration. In order for him to continue to do the things he loved he had a electric, computer style magnifier which also change background and font colours. He's last one is not that old and it seem a shame to just chuck it away so we asked the Blind Veterans would they like and they said yes and today I get to drop it off and see where Dad stayed.

I found if I copy from a published post Mr Blogger will post but he won't let me copy or paste in HTML which is a pain when doing a DT post with loads of links. But at least I got my signature back.

Sweet Bee

Hi all and welcome to another week on the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge
Thank you for joining us for our Vacation/Travel Challenge and we hop you will all join us again this week too.
This week the challenge is ..........
ANYTHING GOES

We are showcasing Newtons Nook and Lil'Inker Designs product this week. You don't have to use them to join in but if you have some we would love to see them used.
As Always Simon Says Stamp will be giving away $50 voucher to shop at the fabulous Simon Say Stamp Store.

Well that was a bit of pain, I usually copy and paste the challenge details in HTML and Mr Blogger has decided in his wisdom not to let me. So I've had to type and link individually, that would be why I can't copy and paste my signature.
Anyway about my challenge card, I was really pleased how it turned out. First of all I used Lil'Inker Designs Sweet Bee and I paper pieced him using the Pebbles Garden Party, the border of flowers came with the stamp..
The sketch I've used is from SplitCoast Stampers SC488 and my MFT Fence has been used in place of a mat and the Simon Says Stamp Leanna butterfly replaced the tiny mat on the side.
The perfect sentiment came from Simon Says Stamp Circle of Friends stamp set.

So now it's YOUR turn.  Happy Crafting

Freshly Flowers

It really throws out my routine when you found out the internet isn't working but at least this morning is seems OK.
Well I've missed the deadline for the Freshly Made Sketch but this was the idea I had one I saw it. It helped that I have this border from Memory Box or it could be Poppystamps either way it was perfect for the sketch.
I cut the border out in the different colours so I could cut out my flowers and the butterflies are from a really old punch I have. Papers are Stampin Up and I used the Swiss Dots embossing folder.

Hugs & Kisses

I'm well impressed with my a layout a week cos I'm now on wk22 but I've only enough for a couple more weeks so will have to get my Scrapbooking head on.
This week is another Baby pic mainly because I'm working on April 2013 when a much loved and wanted little boy was born.
The layout is based on one from Pinterest but using a kit that came in Album pack from TK Max. I've had it for years so I knew I could cope with tearing all up in strips. The chipboard was in the kit, the words and hearts are Simon Says Stamps dies. Some really old rub ons to finish which I was lucky that they still worked.

Tiddly Maid

Well that was annoying my internet/broadband wasn't working this morning and the guys at Virgin were going to send a technician out to me but he hasn't been but the internet is back working. Just wish their 150 number was I'm now a business customer and given another number which doesn't work only wanted to let them now don't send a technician.
Oh well at least I can post my card for the Everybody Art Challenge which this week is for BLING. Thats a nice easy one tell I made my card and didn't know where put some bling on. In the end I decided to take out the centres of the flowers and add a gem, it would have been easy if the little blightys were more cooperative.
The papers are old Stampin Up ones and I cut out the centre circle which is why I didn't mat the patterned paper so it would cut out easier. My little cute image is from Tiddly Inks and I think my leaf swirl is from MFT.
I do hope you can join us this week and don't forget to check out the team.
Have you notice my signature doesn't work anymore have to settle with boring type instead.

CAS(E) this Sketch

I had this idea when I saw the CAS(E) this sketch on thursday it was just putting it onto card. Then I saw that the Less Is More challenge is for dies well this ticks that box too.
The leaves are Memory Box Fresh Foliage and the flowers also are Memory Box Lovely Aster but I only used the small flower.  I cut down one of the leaves it seemed to work better that way.
The large Happy Birthday is from Simon Says Stamp from their Birthday Balloons set.
I really impressed with myself I actually made 3 cards yesterday and I'm pleased how they turned out too.

i heart you

I really need to find Mr Mojo if only to stop me from making huge mistakes. You might be wondering what mistake but the plain square of cardstock is hiding it!
I was trying to following the sketch from Friday Sketch Challenge all went well till I decided I didn't like the other patterned card stock to paper piece the balloon. Why not gut the the paper since the white embossed mat covers a lot of it, so I gut  out a square. Only realising the the white embossed mat was being stuck down  at an angle and so you could see I gut out a square.
At least everything else went alright well I did lose a foot for a while hunted everywhere but it had got caught on one the corners on the card.
My adorable cute image is obviously from Mo called I heart you. The papers are Echo Park essentials, I used a EK sucess punch for my strip down the card and the corners are Cuttlebug but retired now.

This Way

I confess I don't like this card but its made now. I used last weeks Tuesday Sketch thinking I could make it work.
I quite like the Formal Flourish from MFT and think the sentiment is perfect that came from Simon Say Stamps, of course I love my little Penny Black Hedgie but not sure even he can save my card.
Perhaps its the papers that are making it not work or even the butterflies border. At least I have almost finished a card for tomorrow.

Anniversary

Oh dear down to my very last card in drafts so I need to make some or else there be no cards till I do. I needed a Anniversary card urgently and I saw a card similar on FB from someone called Sarah. Well I thought I could do that with my Spellbinders corners but since I wanted them in white and to stand out I cut out two for each corner and stuck them together.
Cut out my from Hearts from Simon Says Stamps but two hearts wasn't simple enough I no I had to cut out the centres and then stuck a great big sentiment on top again from Simon Says Stamps.
I suddenly realised that I used silicone glue and this card wasn't going in the post today like I wanted. So with that I added the Simon says Stamps flowers since they were already cut out and added glossy accents on the centres.
Found another card to send in the post, I really like how it turned out but do feel one my leaves drooped down behind my back.

All Dressed up

This is the other All Dressed Up Freebie which I have had on my PC for a while probably those skinny legs scared me away. I still feel maybe the image is a bit large but I don't think I can cut out the arms and legs if they were any thinner.
The pretty papers I think are Simple Stories and again difficult to cover cos its so pretty. So I added a fence and the regular bit of ribbon. The MFT crochet border to decorate round the mat and my lost La La Land corners which I have already said I've now lost.
Definitely need to get some more images.

Oh dear no card making today off out for a day shopping, I have a list of holiday clothes to buy and a visit to IKEA to get ideas for my craftroom. Time is slipping away but the walls have been painted since we didn't have the gloss paint for skirting and door frames but thats been brought now. Must have been a long time since we done any painting the prices were scary at least the emulsion was some we already had in the shed.

50dollar_voucher_600px
I couldn't very well show the Lawn Fawn boat again so I had to find another image for challenge and why not this fabulous Uptown Girl from Stamping Bella Sunny is Stylish.
The papers are Simple Stories A charmed life did have a problem I cut the strips a bit of the short size but it seems to work.
Since she is wearing sunglasses it was only right to have a sun on the card. I used the Stately Circles from Spellbinders and used the smaller one for the centre.
I used the Hello die from Simon Says Stamps but I cut it out in different colours to help it show up. Now you must be wondering where is the Studio Calico will its my enamel dots.

So now it's YOUR turn.  Happy Crafting

happy BEE day

Running late this morning but not because I got up late but I forgot to download the photos. By the time I had done that, cropped, watermarked and fiddly with the pixels and lighting it got later and later. It didn't help that using a computer that felt like myself first thing meant everything went at a snail pace.
Anyway the inspiration for my card is this week CAS(E) this Sketch although I think my rectangle maybe on the large size. But the hexagon made want to use the bees do love the bees from Simon Says Stamps Circle Friends stamp and it has the perfect sentiment.
I'm heavily influence by the sunshine we've had, I say had because as soon as I started the card the clouds covered it up for the day but its back this morning.

First Official Photos

There's a couple of things I would do different if I made this layout again but overall I'm pleased how it turned out. The inspiration for this layout came from the lovely fun lady I sat next to at the retreat in March and a talented scrapbooker. Her layout was set out in four strips but mine had to be three because of the size my printer printed out.
The pictures are the first official photos of Mason.
You probably can recognise by now my favourite things like the Fresh Foliage from Memory Box, the Flat Bottomed Clouds from Simon Says Stamps. The title was done on the Cricut.

Fairy Sleepy

I was finding it hard to find my Mojo last week so for this week challenge on Everybody Art Challenge Ticket Challenge, I went for a CAS look it was about all I could manage.
I knew using Mo's Fairy Sleepy would save any card I made. The papers are Graphic 45 and I wanted to use this leaf die from Poppystamps from Memory Box. Swirls are Formal Flourish from MFT and the La La Land corner which I have lost and its the second one I had to buy maybe third time lucky.
I use some liquid pearls to fill some of all the white space round my fairy and the ticket is Whimsy Stamp and die set that I've had for ages.

Do hope you can join us this week and don't forget to check out the team.

Final Update for a While

Well the conversion is nearly signed off, we now have floor covering and more importantly we have a sliding door. There's a couple of probs that Neil my builder needs to finish which should be this week.

And since Hubby is over 60 he gets a discount card for B&Q so we wait to Wednesday to pick up the paint which need to use.
I'm hoping the budget will stretch to having the carpenter back for a day to fix up cupboards, shelves etc
We now have a deadline, I offered to have Nikki's Stampin Up Catalogue launch in July, it will still be her party but just using my space and my MIL is coming down the 22nd July

Rockstar

It was my Brothers Big Birthday yesterday and this was the card I made for him. I'm actually pleased how he turned out.
The words are a mixture of Memory Box and All Occasions dies. The musical notes are MFT and I've a feeling the papers are Echo Park but that won't be a surprise to anyone.
Now my Rockstar is from Dr Digi and he's called Metal Mick, he was a bit complicated to put together since I wanted his hair overlapping his face but please how he turned out.

I put this pic on facebook to wish my brother Happy Birthday. I'm not sure who took it in those days photos were expensive.

Angel with Kitten

Oh dear I've slept for nearly twelve hours straight, I'm so tired lately only wish I woke up refreshed. Anyway through the fog of my tiredness I did make a card yesterday, but I got to this point and was shattered.
First of all I've used the sketch from Sketch Saturday and I used one piece of patterned papers to cut into four which I was please about since I do think this paper is pretty.
A few of the punched funky flower flowers which almost match the flowers in the paper and you know me a piece of ribbon with a bow to finish.
Of course the adorable image is from Mo, she is called Angel with Kitten, I do feel I need the Angel with the Puppy now.
Sent Hubby to hand deliver a card today not sure if I should take a chance to show it tomorrow cos I don't know if I shall make a card today.

Golfing Hedgie

I'm afraid its turning into one of those weeks and time as slipped away but I did manage to make CAS well it is for me for today.
I cut the Memory Box Golfing landscape for the lower half and found an odd bit of blue check for my sky. The clouds are Simon Says Stamp Flat Bottomed Clouds and  so is the Happy Birthday die. I was going to try an add the large golfing cart but couldn't work out where to put it.
Of course my Golfing Hedgie is a Penny Black.
